Did you become a Spanish tax resident… by accident?

It happens more often than you think.
People relocate for lifestyle, second homes, or remote work……and realise too late they’ve triggered Spain’s tax residency rules.
Here’s what being a Spanish tax resident really means:
You may need to file a Modelo 100 (Renta), even if all your income is from the UK, US, or elsewhere.
If you hold over €50K in overseas assets (bank accounts, shares, property, crypto), you’ll need to file a Modelo 720, too.
Wealth tax can kick in from €500K+ in Catalunya (yes, even on assets outside Spain).
But be aware… the Spanish system assumes worldwide taxation unless you actively structure otherwise.
At End2End, we help international clients understand the obligations before they become liabilities.
It’s not just about filing forms, it’s about planning the right way, from day one.
