Europe is coming for wealth. But if you’re on the Beckham Regime? You’re already shielded.Several European countries are actively proposing new or expanded wealth taxes… and not just on ultra-high-net-worths.

In Spain, the threshold can be surprisingly low, especially in regions like Catalunya.

But here’s what most people don’t realise:

If you’re on the Beckham Regime, Spain’s special tax regime for expats, foreign wealth is excluded.

No annual Modelo 714.

No tax on overseas dividends or capital gains.

No wealth tax on global assets.

And no Modelo 720 (foreign asset declaration) either.

All of which means: structure matters more than ever.

We’ve been saying this for years: most people don’t ask the right questions when they move to Spain.

They assume the tax system is like home. It isn’t.

And too often, they wait for their company to ‘handle it’, only to find out too late that no one has.

That single misstep can cost them five years of strategic protection.

If you’re in Spain (or planning to be), and want peace of mind, get it right from the start.
